We generate revenue.
Not cut costs.
reservations.ai is a travel technology company operating at the point where human demand, AI agents, and hotel inventory meet. Sister brand to HotelPlanner, part of Lexyl Travel Technologies. Live in production since 2024.
The transaction layer was missing.
Every major AI assistant now ships with a travel intent. ChatGPT, Claude, Google, every agent OS launching in 2026. They all need to search, quote, reserve, and reconcile. None of them want to build hotel distribution from scratch.
reservations.ai fills that gap. We aggregate 1.5M+ properties through our sister brand HotelPlanner, layer on an AI sales agent trained on 9M+ high converting reservation calls, and expose the whole stack through MCP, REST, voice, SMS, and messaging. One plug in. Every channel.
The positioning is intentional. Most AI infrastructure startups pitch cost reduction: "replace your $40 per hour agent with a $4 per hour bot." That frame loses in travel because travel call centers have already been offshored to the margin. The real opportunity is revenue expansion: sell more, sell in more languages, sell at times of day that humans will not work, close deals that would have died in a queue.
Cost reduction is a race to the bottom. Revenue expansion compounds. We picked the side that wins.Neil Valentine · Chief Strategy Officer
Twenty years of hotel distribution under one roof.
reservations.ai does not exist in a vacuum. We share inventory, rate agreements, and operational infrastructure with HotelPlanner, our sister brand in the Lexyl Travel Technologies group. That scale advantage is the reason an agent reservation through our MCP gets better rates than scraping the open web.
Parent holding company. Operates HotelPlanner (the consumer OTA serving 1.5M+ properties), reservations.ai (the AI transaction layer), and adjacent travel technology properties.
West Palm Beach, FL. Founded 2003. $2B+ in annual travel commerce network wide. Independent, not VC owned.
The HotelPlanner side brings the inventory rails, the global property agreements, the payment settlement infrastructure, and the 24 hour call center operations. The reservations.ai side brings the AI brain, the MCP endpoint, the voice and messaging surfaces, and the integrations with agent platforms.
You plug into one. You get both.
- 2003HotelPlanner foundedGroup travel reservation platform launches. Two decade head start on hotel distribution rails, rate agreements, and payment settlement.
- 2016Call center operations built outGlobal 24 hour human call centers across 27 languages. The training data that would later become the reservations.ai voice AI was accumulating at scale.
- 2023Voice AI pilotFirst production deployment of AI sales agents on inbound calls. Training corpus passes 5M real reservation calls.
- 2024reservations.ai launchesThe AI sales platform goes into production under the reservations.ai brand across voice, SMS, and messaging, built on HotelPlanner inventory rails. First production agent reservations close on inbound channels.
- 2025MCP goes live · ChatGPT apps integrationPublic MCP endpoint ships and the official ChatGPT travel app launches the same year. Becomes the reference travel MCP for the emerging agent ecosystem. Training corpus passes 9M high converting reservation calls. Claude, Cursor, Windsurf integrations follow.
- 2026The transaction layerToday. $2B+ in annual commerce flows through the platform. Enterprise white label deals in scoping with major travel platforms. This is the year agents learn to transact.
The team that ships.
Leadership is a blend of twenty year travel technology veterans and AI first builders. The whole team works out of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Three rules that govern everything.
We are a travel company first, an AI company second. That order matters. It means our decisions bias toward the traveler, the property, and the partner. It also means we do not ship things that look cool in a demo but break when 300K daily conversations hit them.
1. Outcomes over seats. Partners pay when reservations close, never for infrastructure that sits idle. Our revenue is the partner's revenue, minus a negotiated split. When a partner grows, we grow. When a partner stalls, we feel it and fix it.
2. Agents are first class users. Every API, every doc, every error message is written to be parsed by a machine as easily as read by a human. agents.md sits next to README.md. Machine only registration bypasses the UI. AEC credits price autonomous behavior fairly.
3. No bullshit in the docs. If a feature is in beta, we say it is in beta. If a claim is hard to verify, we do not claim it. If a partner asks a question and we do not know the answer, we say so and find out. Trust compounds, lies do not.
We are the infrastructure the agents need. Our job is to be boring, fast, honest, and always on.reservations.ai engineering principles
We hire operators and builders.
We are not hiring for prestige. We are hiring for people who ship. If you have spent the last few years writing code that other engineers rely on, negotiating partnerships that actually close, or running operations that do not break at scale, we want to talk.
Open roles rotate. Engineering, partnerships, integrations, voice operations, and data are typically the buckets with live slots. Send us something real: a PR you are proud of, a deal you closed, an incident you handled, a document you wrote that changed a team's direction.
The team is based in West Palm Beach FL. Open to contract to perm for roles that suit it. We do not do take home coding tests.
